Chicken with Verde Sauce PDF Print E-mail

Ingredients

*1 med. white onion
*1 garlic clove
*2 tomatillos
*1 bunch fresh parsley
*1 C. green chili sauce
*1 tsp. salt
*1 tsp. ground white pepper
*1 fryer chicken

Directions

Peel onion and cut into quarters. Peel garlic.  Remove stems and peels from tomatillos, then halve them.  Remove stems from parsley and roughly chop leaves.  Combine onion, garlic, tomatillos, parsley, chili sauce, salt, and white pepper in a blender or food processor. Blend until liquefied.  Rinse chicken and arrange in a large frying pan. Pour sauce over top.  Cover and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat to low and simmer for an hour or until chicken is tender.
