Mexican Pecan Candies PDF Print E-mail

Ingredients

*2 C. white granulated sugar
*1/2 C. margarine
*1 C. canned condensed milk
*2 Tbs. white corn syrup
*1 tsp. vanilla extract
*1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
*1/2 tsp. chili powder
*3 C. pecan

Directions

Combine sugar, margarine, condensed milk, and corn syrup in a medium pot.  Heat on medium-high until mixture forms a firm, soft ball when a small amount is dropped into cold water. Remove from heat.  Stir in vanilla, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and pecans.  Using a tablespoon, drop into patties on waxed paper. Put in a cool place until clusters reach room temperature.
