Pork Sausage with Garbanzos PDF Print E-mail

This makes for a super tasty side dish or even main course!

Ingredients

*1 med. white onion
*1 garlic clove
*2 C. canned garbanzo beans
*1/2 C. canned pimientos
*1/2 lb. pork sausage
*1 tsp. chili powder
*1/2 tsp. salt
*1/4 tsp. dried oregano
*1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions

Peel onion and chop into 1/4-inch pieces.  Peel and mince the garlic.  Drain garbanzo beans and rinse.  Drain pimientos and cut into 1/4-inch-wide strips.  Brown sausage in a frying pan on medium heat.  Add onion, garlic, and chili powder; cook until onion is soft.  Add garbanzos and pimientos. Stir well.  Bring to a simmer.  Add salt, oregano, and pepper.
